DR Aykroyd formula is outdated

. The continued use of Aykroyd’s 2700-calorie model for wage fixation is outdated and unjust. It fails to acknowledge the diverse energy demands of different professions, leading to wage suppression for labor-intensive workers, paramilitary trainees, and critical workforce sectors. Additionally, the widening minimum-to-maximum wage gap contradicts the constitutional principles of justice and equality. The government must adopt a revised wage model that accounts for job-specific caloric needs, family responsibilities, healthcare inflation, and real economic conditions. Ensuring a fair wage system will not only improve the standard of living for workers but also enhance productivity and national economic stability. It is time for the Pay Commission to modernize wage fixation and ensure justice for every government employee.
